Kartel West

President/CEO

Kartel West is an alumnus of Southern Illinois University and Grambling State University. He attended SIU on a full scholarship. At SIU, he became a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc., majoring in mathematics. Kartel went on to run his family’s real estate company.

In 2001, he moved to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, working as a consultant. He then went on to work for Lojas Americanas, a Brazilian department store franchise similar to Walmart. Kartel was employed as a product forecast analyst/translator, fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. He also did some consultant work for Cobra Technologia, a back-end software engineering firm. Mr. West then taught English on both the elementary and high school levels calling it “the most rewarding experience” of his life. Kartel helped children of lessor opportunities with their dreams of attending college by giving free after-school lessons in English and programming.

“We are starting OTOPOB in Chicago, but my dream is to open offices around the entire country. I still talk to many of my ex-students. It’s not always about finance. Sometimes it’s just direction.”, said Kartel. “This is what I want to bring to ONE TEAM ONE PLAN ONE BRAND. A path for our kids, especially our young boys, to follow. ??❤??”
